Some people put dogs in hats
Some other’s put costumes on cats
Then there’s me with my fish
Where my ultimate wish
Is just to put spats on rats
Then there’s those whose pet is their kid
Those that never the stork visited
From the pound made a rescue
Took you home where they let you
Eat bones but no holes may you dig
Take‘em for walks and throw’em a stick
Give‘em treats and teach’em a trick
To the vet when they’re ill
And no minding the bill
‘Cept horses which we shoot when they’re sick
