The elevation of the site ensures that it is snowbound all year. The sheltered nature of the structures and lack of external activity nodes shows that there was limited habitation by a small number of individuals. What evidence we have found indicates that the site was primarily ritualistic. There is little evidence of social activities and the various structures all contain signs of religious activity.
The largest structure contains a single idol, humanoid in shape, one hundred and thirty centimetres in height. It is formed from chiseled and polished granite. Research carried out by the scholars at Mantle House confirms that it is of Nam, spirit of the Winter Storms.
Of the four remaining structures, three were dedicated to basic housing, with the remains of cots and simple utensils. Two of these dwellings contained a few personal belongings, as well as small bound books of text that have defied translation as of this report.
The function of the remaining structure has proved elusive. It is approximately three metres square. It is only one and a half metres in height, but is dug into the ground, the roof of it forming a low mound only half a metre above ground level. Having no entrance, we had to excavate our own.
Inside the structure is bare. There is single torch receptacle on a wall. The notable find was a single body. It was that of a female human, naked of clothing or adornment. The body was perfectly preserved, and inspection revealed no apparent injury or other damage. At present, we have left it in situ while we await the arrival of a biological recovery team. We have also, at the request of our sponsor Han Arlow, restricted our research to the other structures.
One issue of small concern is the health of Researcher Torrin. He is currently confined to his bed suffering from some type of exhaustion. He was the first to enter the burial chamber and is currently the only one of the team to show any signs of sickness. Hopefully, the BRT will be able to assist when they arrive in two days. Personally, I will be thankful as others have commented on feeling unwell since Torrin became ill.
